Job Description:
Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Inspect incoming contract units, forms and records and makes applicable entries for receiving into the work process. Provides continued surveillance inspection of all in process work. Develop/implement quality control/safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Inspect / verify proper completion and documentation of safety discrepancies. Evaluate personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience. Perform audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. Monitor timeliness and applicability of maintenance technical data and technical library. Review maintenance source documents, inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action. Manage material deficiency and technical order improvement program. Review engineering investigation requests. Initiate/review quality, technical and hazardous material deficiency reports; ensuring that reports are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive. Review vehicle, equipment and explosive mishap reports, and evaluate for applicability. Conduct safety inspections, training and drills. Inspect incoming material and modification kits for compliance with the Purchase Order or contract standard requirements, quantity and condition. Responsible for assuring that tools and equipment meet standards and calibration requirements. Familiar with procedures specified with the Quality/Inspection and Safety Sections of the URS SOP. Performs other duties as assigned by Program Manager or Manager, Quality Assurance. 
Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Skills/Experience/Licensures: Seven (7) years combined experience as an aircraft mechanic and QA inspector with five (5) years actual and experience on turbo prop aircraft; Merlin/Metros, CASA 212 or Jet Stream 31/42 or other TPE 331 experience required. Licensure by the FAA as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to the C-26 preferred. Understanding of FAA and Air Force regulations is mandatory. Demonstrated leadership ability combined with attention to detail. Must have knowledge of the scope and limitation of various categories of maintenance and their application. Must know theory and principles of engine operations; accessories and components; theory of flight; rigging of flight controls; electrical and electronic; pneudraulic; and mechanical principles. Knowledge of sheet metal, properties of materials, fuels, and oils. Thorough knowledge of general quality inspections procedures, maintenance forms, records, CLS reporting system, and management. Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of maintenance and their application to the contract unit. Other requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle. Must be qualified for and obtain a Secret Clearance. Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Must have valid Drivers License.Please note that all employees assigned to the C-26 ANG program are subject to and must be available for overseas deployment and CONUS TDY assignments, when such assignments become available and necessary to fulfill the requirements of the contract.
