Job Description:
Specific job responsibilities for the Paraloft/ALSE aircraft worker includes, carrying out the accountability, fit, modification, inspection, issue, repair, maintenance, and records for Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) such as night vision goggles (NVGs), flight helmets, survival vests, and supporting components in shop flight line environments. Also fits helmets, survival vests and other individual items of equipment to aircrew, military personnel, and civilians participating in flight activities. Completes and updates maintenance records and reports. The Paraloft Aircraft Worker carries out the inventory, ordering, stockings and accountability of assigned material. Also, performs prescribed cleaning, preservation, and operator maintenance of ALSE shop tools and equipment. Orders and maintains a Prescribed Load List (PLL), includes supply of controlled substances and ammunition (incendiary signaling devices). Receives, reviews, and disseminates a variety of guidelines (technical and administrative publications and reports) Uses guidelines to assist in updating SOPs, checklists, and briefing materials. Performs routine housekeeping duties and answers the telephone in the immediate work area. In addition, briefs aircrew, non-aircrew, and civilian personnel in the operation use, and maintenance of ALSE. This worker may perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed, and services aircraft and components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul required to keep aircraft in safe operating limits.To be considered, candidates must submit a resume directly online at

Minimum Requirements:
URS Corporation is immediately hiring qualified Aircraft Workers in support of U.S. Navy Aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island, WA.High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum three (3) years actual and recent aviation experience is required. Candidates must possess the level of experience necessary to qualify for Aircraft Worker Position. Furthermore, this posting is to find a candidate to work directly in the Paraloft (ALSE work center) supporting the EA-6B Prowler at NAS Whidbey Island in work center 13A.Prior experience is required. In addition to performing maintenance, the candidate must have ability to meet physical demand requirements associated with and/or pass and maintain any medical examination requirements related to performing daily routine aircraft maintenance tasks. Will be required to pass and maintain a background security check (NAC) for CAC.
