Job Description:
The Aviation Ordnance Aircraft Worker makes repairs to aircraft following orders of higher grade worker, and assists in troubleshooting malfunctions on aircraft. In addition, the aviation ordnanceman aircraft worker will perform maintenance on Armament Systems to include: Jettison System, ALE-39 System, ALE-47 System, and Harm System. Further, participates in the installation and removal of ALQ-99 TJS Pods and AERO-1D Drop Tanks, The aircraft worker also perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, arms/de-arms aircraft, as well as enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed. Additionally, maintains and performs maintenance on Aviation Armament Equipment to include AERO-7A and AERO-7B bomb racks. AMMO 18 training course is preferred.The aircraft worker attached to the Ordnance center must be willing to work a shift rotation and participate in limited detachments.
