Responsibilities

The software developer will work as part of a talented technical team in the design and development of a modular web application. Collaborate with developers and business users to design, develop, and integrate user interfaces and services that meet business needs. These solutions are mission critical and crucial to various front-end as well as server based applications. Knowledge of the following would be required .NET 4.0 (C#), Silverlight 4.0, VS 2010 IDE, Expression Blend 4.0. General knowledge of Prism, MVVM design patterns, Mocking frameworks, and Agile would be beneficial. Responsible for assisting with development, coding, and testing. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project tasks on schedule and by interacting with other junior and senior level developers. Must be adaptable to changing designs and to adding performance enhancements. Must be able to document code and implement code quality tools.

Qualifications

Demonstrated technological skills and the ability to adapt to change are necessary. 5+ years full life cycle development experience. 5+ years experience in any Web-focused development language and tools. Mandatory knowledge of C#, HTML, SQL, WPF, XML, web content. XAML, ReSharper, MS TFS2010, and/or Sandcastle knowledge a plus. Must have understanding of version control and adapt to practices. College degree in computer science and/or related work experience. Strong verbal and written skills with ability to document code and work in a clear and concise way. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.   Please be advised: This job requires working in an area covered by the City of Houston Ordinance Against Smoking - City Code Chapter 21.
