Responsibilities

Assist with the analysis, planning, implementation and testing of the Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution. Perform preliminary analysis and conduct interviews with various business groups to communicate project objectives and to understand their data protection requirements. Assist with the evaluation of other data governance solutions. Conduct research on data governance best practice. Work collaboratively with Continental Airlines' technology teams, external vendors and consultants. Set realistic expectations for completion of projects and/or tasks.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate studies in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Engineering). Knowledge or understanding of Information Security concepts required. Knowledge of cryptography a plus. Previous project experience or project management knowledge a plus. Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management. Strong conceptual and analytical skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Self -starter, with a high degree of initiative and motivation. Must be a team player. Willing to temporarily relocate to the Houston area at your own expense. Willing to pay for your own housing while doing a fall internship in Houston. Able to intern during the fall of 2010 (Generally from mid-August to end of December ). Referral from a professor or by a member of faculty is mandatory.
