Responsibilities
Produce and maintain web content for continental.com using Visual Studio 2010 and SharePoint. Updates require HTML coding and image optimization. Utilize and contribute to continental.com’s core UI standards. Test Web content for accuracy and performance by ensuring it functions correctly on desktop and mobile browsers. Consult with internal Design and Communications teams to ensure efficient and proper development of creative assets. Liaise with Continental’s Technology department to complete back-end requirements for relevant projects.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven front-end internet environment. Must be able to hand code complex XHTML, JavaScript and CSS without the use of a visual editor. Able to code in C#. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, ASP, ASP.net, SharePoint, coding for foreign languages, mobile browsers and Content Management Systems. Experience with Javascript frameworks such as jQuery. Superior understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility (Webkit, Opera, Firefox, IE). Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, Acrobat and Illustrator (sizing and optimizing images and documents). Knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and web standards. Knowledge of Section 508 Accessibility Guidelines. Very detail oriented with excellent communication and problem solving skills. Must be flexible and capable of shuffling priorities. Experience implementing SEO optimization. Project management and client-side relationship management experience a plus. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work outside standard business hours, as situations require. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
