Responsibilities
Provide managerial support to department by supervising shift operations to ensure the customer's product is delivered on-time within established specifications. Supervising 35-70 employees. Scheduling, coordinating and communicating with employees, management and other departments as necessary to resolve problems as they occur. Adjust production as needed to meet necessary changes. Analyze work-flow and distribute work accordingly based on daily volume. Duties related to attendance, counseling, work assignments, accident investigations, safety observations and production related areas. Ensure work is completed within established company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must have supervisory experience. Good employee relations a must. Experience with team management style. Ability to proactively address conflict management and resolution. Proven experience in motivation and communication. Must have effective communication skills including the ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual a plus. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible to work any shift in a 24 hour operation including nights, weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to train staff members in safe work habits, standard operating procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. Must have a high school diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent. Knowledge of in-flight catering or airline operations experience preferred. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid). Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances.
