Responsibilities

Assist Continental Airlines' web site management team with planning, developing, deploying, and analyzing consumer-oriented web site marketing initiatives. Deliverables include: A web site merchandizing campaign and a competitive analysis of travel web site merchandizing techniques. Product research and analysis. Evaluation of opportunities. Recommending marketing objectives and approaches. Managing a detailed campaign deployment plan. Assessing campaign performance on planned objectives. Organizing relevant information and data into management reports.

Qualifications

MBA/Masters candidate with bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting, mathematics or other technical field. Must be able to intern during the summer of 2011 (generally from mid-May to mid-August). Must have a thorough understanding of the Internet and of transactional e-commerce. 2-4 years work experience in Marketing related field, preferably in online marketing. Familiar with use of the Internet for planning and purchasing travel. Demonstrated success growing product sales through merchandizing and product promotion, preferably on a consumer website. Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills required. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products particularly Excel with an understanding of web analysis and conversion rates. Extremely detail oriented with the ability to manage projects and processes. Ability to turn around projects quickly and juggle several deadlines simultaneously. Thorough understanding of the Internet and of transactional e-commerce.   Willing to temporarily relocate to Houston area at your own expense. Also must be willing to pay for your own housing while doing an internship in Houston. Please be advised:
