Responsibilities
Liaison with law enforcement and other governmental security & security-regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with local, in-country and DHS (TSA, CBP) security-related regulations. Develop and implement all in-country physical safety and security standards and practices. Ensure proper hiring and training of contractor personnel. Brief and/or train station personnel on practices related to security, where necessary. Conduct investigations in response to tips and safety and security incidents in country. Work closely with Airport Business Manager in coordinating operational security. Respond to safety and security-related emergencies at station and at all other Continental property in country. Conduct and respond to all threats, coordinating with U.S. State Department and locally developed intelligence sources.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in security/law enforcement-related field or equivalent work experience. Supervisory experience required. Minimum 5 years experience in airport-related security regulations and practice. Must be fluent in English and Spanish (read, write and speak). Extensive exposure to and supervision of security contact[s]/contractor employees. Experience in civil aviation and general threat analysis. Capable of working with little to no supervision. Must be willing and able to travel throughout Continental system when necessary. U.S. Visa required. Must be legally authorized to work in Dominican Republic for any employer without sponsorship.
