Responsibilities

Supervise 35-70 non-management team members in the Food Production area. Responsible for employee scheduling, attendance, training, coaching, counseling and discipline. Conducts safety observations, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and required audits to ensure procedures are followed and the overall quality of production. Responsible for creating production sheets by utilizing menu breakouts and flight schedules. Prepares department related reports to validate performance efficiency. Coordinate and implement execution of menu presentations. Responsible for creating menus and ensuring a high quality of food is served in the employee cafeteria and employee appreciation celebrations. Review and communicate manual revision changes. Ensures adherence to company and regulatory compliance including Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Monitor food production to ensure procedures are followed (i.e. dating, rotating food handling, temperature controls and minimize waste). Develop and ensure effective measurement resources as related to customer service compliance with quality issues. Maintain communication links with the warehouse to eliminate food service failures.

Qualifications

Good employee relations skills a must. Experience with a coteam management style, ability to proactively address conflict management and resolution. Proven experience in motivating and communicating with a team. Ability to communicate read, write and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual a plus. Able to function in a fast-paced environment. Must have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience leading front line personnel. Must have a high school diploma/GED (General Education Development) or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred. A combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for the requirements above when the candidate is able to demonstrate the required skills and knowledge. Must have catering and/or airline operations experience. Serv Safe certification a plus. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid).  Must be detail oriented. Must work under stringent time deadlines. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work any shift in a 24-hour operation including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
