Responsibilities
Implementation of TSA mandated security regulations and Super Carrier Initiative Security Program requirements at Continental (CO) stations in Venezuela. Responsible for managing all aspects of passenger, baggage and cargo screening security operations at the station. Ensure compliance with local, in-country and U.S. DHS (TSA, CBP) regulations. Serve as liaison with law enforcement and other governmental security-regulatory agencies. Develop and implement all in-country physical safety and security standards and practices. Ensure proper hiring and training of contract security personnel. Facilitate and/or train airport station personnel on practices related to aviation security, as necessary. Conduct investigations in response to tips and security incidents in country. Respond to safety and security-related emergencies at airport station and at all other Continental properties in country. Respond to all threats, coordinating with Continental headquarters, U.S. State Department and local intelligence sources. Communicate relevant intelligence ecurity information affecting Continental employees, customers, operations or assets to CO leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of airline operations experience preferred, including supervisory/managerial experience. AVSEC related experience/training is a plus. Must possess excellent report writing, verbal communication and analytical skills. Fluency in Spanish and English languages spoken and written. Ability to interact with all levels of company management and government agencies. Must be able to demonstrate PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Shares. Understanding of CO's Booking and Ticketing Policy preferred. Must demonstrate ability to take instruction and follow overall Continental principals of conduct guidelines. Familiarity with TSA and CBP regulatory requirements for international airport stations preferred. Must have enthusiasm and initiative to work independently. Must be willing to work irregular hours and able to travel internationally and domestically on short notice for variable durations with little or short notice as necessary. Must be legally authorized to work in the in the host country (Venezuela) for any empoloyer without sponsorship if possible. United States Visa required.
