Responsibilities

Acting as a creative influence in product development. Perform periodic daily walk through of the facility to ensure that all Quality Assurance (QA)/Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards are being complied with, institute corrective actions as necessary. Conduct raw material, finished product and production line inspections. Review current product specifications to ensure product accuracy. Respond and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner. Hands on work guidance to include assigning specific duties and responsibilities to food production employees. Train staff in proper methods of cooking, preparation, portion and cost controls, according to established quality standards. Plan project production through ordering the products according to project goals. Schedule associates for efficient operation of kitchen. Maintains the highest levels of food safety, sanitation and cleanliness in all production areas. Adhere to HACCP guidelines and its related administration functions as required. Proper receiving, storage, preparation and rotation of food products as to comply with international, national and local government food safety regulations. Experience coordinating a project from initial concept thru to production including bench top production work, ramp up, production trials, and product launch. Prioritize and coordinate project activities of the group, ensuring timetables are met, monitoring timeliness and accuracy of work, interface with other company representatives as necessary. Hands-on product training/demonstrations at meetings or individually at stores. Assist in maintaining and updating all menu specifications, recipes, pictures, and production forecasts and ensures they are being followed. Responsible for staff proficiency and productivity. Responsible for food cost controls. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsible for the process of outside product testing.

Qualifications

High school diploma/General Education Development (GED) or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Some travel maybe required. Continuous standing and walking. Knowledge of food and nutritional trends with a focus on quality. Excellent organizational and project coordinator skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to instruct and guide employees. Experience with and the ability to perform calculations related to measurements for batch cooking. Possess technical quality assurance skills. Lifting and carrying food product and equipment. Possess technical culinary skills. Frequent repetitive motion and reaching. Must be able to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with interruptions. Must be able to work with a diverse workforce. Must be able to communicate on various levels to include management, departmental, customer and associate levels. Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. *SAJ*
