Responsibilities

Analyze capital projects and project spend for accuracy, payment, and proper coding. Perform account reconciliation on the Work In Progress (WIP) account on approved Capital Projects. Update Contract Database with new contracts and contract terms. Perform a detailed review on all contracts and validate payment terms, and payment amounts. Prepare models for the budget, assist on developing the forecast, budget and monthly close. Review invoices for accuracy. Code invoices to proper cost center, account number. Perform ad-hoc projects on as needed basis.

Qualifications

High school diploma/General Education Development (GED) or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (preferred). Previous Accounts Payable and accounting experience a plus. Strong interpersonal and demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to work with all levels in the organization. Must have proficient knowledge of personal computers and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Adobe Acrobat. (Test may be given). Proven accuracy and ability to resolve issues. Analytical skills to investigate and resolve discrepancies within a short period of time. skills and ability to meet deadlines a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Candidate must be able to clear fingerprint based criminal history check in order to obtain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Transportation Security Administration (TSA)/Port Authority/US Customs and US Postal service clearances. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. *SAJ*
