Responsibilities

The role reports directly to the Marketing Manager UK and Ireland (UK&I) and would have responsibility for the following areas: Assist in planning and delivering on Continental's local sales and marketing initiatives, so as to enhance the positioning of the airline with both the travel trade and the direct consumer, so as to grow point of sale revenues. Provide regional support across the UK&I for advertising creative and copy for both in-house design work and facilitating adverts through HQ. Produce and develop corporate brochures and printed materials across Continental Airlines, Continental Airlines Vacations and the Transatlantic joint venture for the UK&I. Ensure creative is within company guidelines and material is fit for purpose. Provide sales with the adequate level of marketing support collateral on a regional level for use at sales call, functions and events. To be the main point of contact for producing and updating sales presentation creative and to assist in the development of the Continental (CO) brand when presented at sales activities. To develop and implement a structured process for communicating with the trade through online and printed communications. Act as a key point of contact for the production of merchandise and the delivery of it to use on sales calls and at industry exhibitions etc. Deliver compelling copy and creative for the consumer and trade e-communications using an in-house email service provider tool. Assist the Continental Vacations vendor to ensure ongoing promotion of the brand - to include advertising; and within it the accurate representation of the Continental Airlines brand.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to influence at all levels To be a team player. To be able to work on your own initiative when required. Previous design experience with proficiency in Quark Express, Creative Suite CS4 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign), Acrobat and Powerpoint. Flash and a basic understanding of HTML are desirable but not essential. Complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Preferably educated to degree level, and/or with relevant professional qualifications desirable but not essential. Previous experience in marketing required. The ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast pace, work environment. The ability to work outside a normal working schedule. This will include some UK and Ireland travel, as well as some international travel. This is a 6 - 9 month temporary contract position. Must be legally authorized to work in the European Union for any employer without sponsorship.
