Responsibilities
The Airport Business Manager shall be responsible for total management of Continental's day-to-day activities related to the airport business operation. These duties include, but are not limited to: The safe and secure handling of passenger and aircraft processing. The promotion of service excellence through employee coaching, guidance, and leadership. To ensure absolute compliance with FAA and TSA requirements and local air transport authority guidelines in all operational activities in addition to strict adherence to CO's own operational standards. Act as liaison with customs, immigration, and other users and suppliers. Work effectively and professionally with alliance partner's management and their employees. Implementation of employee communication and teamwork initiatives. The administration of budgets, operating plans and capital investment programs. The management and review of all vendor service contracts. The establishment and involvement with business and civic leaders and community service to generate awareness of the company. Assistance with the implementation of sales and marketing activities. The creation of a positive employee environment where all employees enjoy coming to work, have fun and deliver the Continental product in a consistent, professional manner.
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED or equivalent. College degree preferred. 5 years of experience in airline operations. 1 year of management experience required. Overall knowledge of Airport operations including all aspects of customer service, terminal operations and cargo required. Two years in station management preferred. Must be fluent in English and Spanish (read, write and speak). Ability to communicate effectively with third parties and others within Continental at all levels of the organization. A proven ability to manage and motivate staff. Must be a dedicated professional with a record of achievement in airline management. Willing and able to work hours as required by the operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, along with PC literacy are a must.
