Responsibilities
Develop infrastructure architecture and designs based on established Continental engineering standards that meet both the project's technical requirements and the end user's business objectives. Work with Project Managers, development teams, Enterprise Engineers and business unit stakeholders to determine business requirements and functional specifications. Design integrations and communications between enterprise systems. Present design documentation and equipment detail to the engineering community for review. Develop tools and equipment lists for projects to create cost estimates. Determine as built status for new project creation. Coordinate communication needs among engineering support groups. Provide build services including assembly, installing, configuring and tuning new equipment. Provide migration services to newly deployed infrastructure. Maintain knowledge of Continental technical standards. Work with Enterprise Engineering to ensure adherence to standards as well as designed solutions. Maintain knowledge and enforce Continental security policies.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; OR certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (M.C.S.E.). Principles and practices of computer networks in client-server and Microsoft Operating System environments; operating platforms and related operating systems, system design, set-up, connectivity, configuration, testing and troubleshooting procedures. Experience with Microsoft products; Hyper-V, SQL Server and AD. Experience with HP Blades and SAN hardware. Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols. Three (3) to five (5) years of systems engineering experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
