Responsibilities

Provide analytic, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem resolution services for business systems. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle with senior team members. Research and implement new technologies where applicable. Work with project managers and analysts to assure requirements are met and goals are understood. Assist testers in completing successful test cycles. Include Unit testing and Regression Testing as well as User Acceptance Testing. Complete unit testing of all development work to ensure no collateral processes are affected. Manage expectations of management and effectively communicate project deliverables and challenges. Document compiled code, database functions, and architectural documents to reflect requirements, best practices and modifications. Works on one project or multiple projects.

Qualifications

Bachelors in CIS/CS/IT and/or 3 plus years equivalent experience required. At least two years experience using, testing, problem solving .NET platform, C# or ASP.NET computer applications or equivalent preferred. Experience maintaining and enhancing existing applications and databases. Ability to work with both technical and user teams to identify and solve site development and design issues. Debugging & problem-solving skills to analyze issues across multiple systems & platforms. The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is required. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to multi-task & detailed oriented. Ability to learn quickly and share acquired knowledge with others. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.   Please be advised: This job requires working in an area covered by the City of Houston Ordinance Against Smoking - City Code Chapter 21.
