Responsibilities
Support procedures and tools that maintain the integrity and efficiency of IT resources for the Technical Operations division. This includes proper planning, configuration and problem planning of IT resources. Resource management, system administration and security systems are within the scope. Ensure compliance with corporate security standards. Monitor change management requests, review, schedule and implement changes in coordination with application programmers and end users. Attend weekly change management meeting. Participate in rotation of 7 x 24 hour support. Provide 2nd and 3rd level problem determination and resolution. Monitor, installation, upgrades and license management for Tech Ops servers in both production and development environments. Work with the network security group in deploying specific Tech Ops client software utilizing SMS. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade and provide solutions to hardware oftware problems, alert management, EDS help desk team, and other IS groups when issues or problems arise, minimizing client productivity loss caused by technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable experience. MCSE certification preferred. 2 plus years experience with Windows 2000/2003 server, active directory, Internet Information Services 5.x and 6.0, including troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005. Knowledge of WebSphere 5.x is helpful. Technical knowledge and aptitude in areas of networks, file servers and troubleshooting techniques. Batch file/command file scripting experience required (batch, WMI, Shell, PERL). Working knowledge of web application security and understanding it's vulnerabilities. Experience in Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Direct Attach Storage (DAS) is a plus. Management skills; team oriented, accountable, self-motivated. Strong communication skills and adaptability. Candidate must possess a strong sense of urgency and strong commitment to quality customer service. Must be self-motivated with a demonstrated proven ability to problem solving. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
