Responsibilities

Utilize analytical/technical skills to initiate plans, and develop specifications involving basic design data, technical test equipment modifications, and equipment installation. Write engineering documents for product modifications, airworthiness compliance, repairs and program management on area of expertise. Multiple engineering responsibilities within aircraft interiors and aircraft interior systems as assigned. Interface with maintenance on troubleshooting procedures and support of light and heavy maintenance operations including substantiation of and preparing work instructions to repair, modify, and maintain aircraft interiors. Prepare technical drawings as required. Responsible for detailed project management of regular and special assignments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree. Minimum of 5 years aviation engineering experience. Thorough knowledge of FAR's (especially Part 25 and 121) is required. Proven experience in aircraft interiors engineering a plus. Thorough knowledge of ATA Chapter 25 required. Experience with ATA Chapters 35 and 38 strongly desired. Exceptional project management skills. Strong communications skills (both written and verbal). Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship   Please be advised: This job requires working in an area covered by the City of Houston Ordinance Against Smoking - City Code Chapter 21.
