Responsibilities

Guide the driver of the truck to and from the aircraft using safe practices. Load and off-load food, beverages and equipment into vehicles and on/off aircraft. Prepare and pack dairy and ice for scheduled flights.  Washes interior and exterior of vehicles. Maintains work area in an organized and clean manner. Drive cargo van and use the proper straps and ramps for job. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic math skills to calculate totals and percentages. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid.) Ability to read, speak and write English. Pushing modules, carts and wagons. Lifting equipment and beverage carriers. Continuous standing and walking during an entire 8 hour shift. Frequent bending to pick up equipment from ground level. Unloading of pub modules. Attention to detail while catering flights. Work under time constraints. Respond to meal count and aircraft changes. Shifts to cover a 24-hour operation. Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Work in refrigerated area of 35 degrees F at intervals of one hour. Packs ice over dairy and liquor products. Exposure to temperature extremes and humidity on the airfield while catering flights. Continuous exposure to aircraft noise. Receive and store hazardous commercial chemicals as covered by the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Training will be provided on the job. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship. *SAJ*
