Responsibilities

Maintain and paint all motorized and non-motorized equipment.  May be required to check, service and test all motorized and non-motorized equipment. Held responsible for the work performed.

Qualifications

One year experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of gas and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, or motorized equipment  supporting airport ground handling operations. Must have the ability to read/understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for purpose of troubleshooting and repair. Must have the ability to repair automotive/industrial type gas and diesel engines.  Must have the ability to perform off-island field trips for the purposes of maintenance and repairs on motorized and non-motorized equipment. Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED). Must pass a pre-placement physical examination and drug screen. Must be able to pass a 10-year security background check. In addition to passing Continental’s background investigation, candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Airport Systems, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs. Must be legally authorized work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
