Responsibilities

Provide managerial support to department by supervising shift operations to ensure the customer's product is delivered on-time within established specifications. Supervising 35-70 employees. Scheduling, coordinating and communicating with employees, management and other departments as necessary to resolve problems as they occur; and adjust production as needed to meet necessary changes. Analyze work-flow and distribute work accordingly based on daily volume. Duties related to attendance, counseling, work assignments, accident investigations, safety observations and production related areas. Ensure work is completed within established company policies and procedures. Must have a working knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations.  Training of staff members in safe work habits, standard operating procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Good employee relations a must. Experience with team management style, ability to proactively address conflict management and resolution. Proven experience in motivation and communication. Must have the ability to communicate, read and write English. Bilingual a plus. Must have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible to work any shift in a 24 hour operation including nights, weekends and holidays. Experience with in-flight catering preferred. Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
