Responsibilities
Plan ownership levels for optimum allocation of spare parts to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events. Distribute material to support fleet activity and maintenance programs. Maintain part number database integrity. Review maintenance work cards, Engineering Authorizations (EA), Engineering Change/Request Authorizations (ECRA), Fleet Campaign Directives (FCD), Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD) to establish, monitor, and control Bill of Materials (BOM). Conduct analysis to determine root causes and provide solutions in areas causing operational disruptions. Develop strong cost control measures and ensure desired results. Establish specific and measurable goals. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance Planning, EDI, Technical Purchasing, Component Repair & Modification, and Warehousing to coordinate material logistics and availability.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Materials Management, Inventory Control, Business Administration, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Management, related technical degree, or minimum of three (3) year experience with closely related field. Technical knowledge of aircraft parts desirable. Able to read and comprehend IPC, CMM, MEL, RSPL, and Engineering documents. Provide strong evidence of specific accomplishments. Good organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints. Ability to represent the department at interdepartmental meetings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrate sound analytical thinking with strong ability to solve problems. Customer oriented self-starter. Working knowledge of mainframe SCEPTRE required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access skills highly desirable. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
