Responsibilities

Supervise 50-90 employees per shift. Scheduling, coordinating and communicating with employees, management and other departments as necessary to resolve problems as they occur; and adjust schedules and production to meet necessary changes. Analyze work flow and distribute work accordingly based on daily volume. Additional duties to include attendance, counseling, work assignment, accident investigations and safety regulations. Ensure work is completed within Continental's established company policies & procedures.  Maintain OSHA ( Occupational Safety and Health Administration)  and FDA ( Food & Drug Administration ) regulatory compliance by promoting safe work habits.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years management experience required in one of the following:  Airline industry, Logistics or Food & Beverage. Degree in food service, business or equivalent experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Able to work all shifts, all times, and in different climate conditions (Freezer to kitchen). Ability to communicate, read and write English, bi-lingual a plus. Able to work with a highly diverse work force in a fast paced environment. Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. Please be advised: This job requires working in an area covered by the City of Houston Ordinance Against Smoking - City Code Chapter 21.
