Responsibilities

Direct, evaluate and manage sales staff and sales activity within region. Travel often to cities within region to call on accounts jointly with the Sales Manager/GSA/Business Managers. Establish regular communications between all related departments and corporate office. Participate in forecasts of expected tonnage, yield and revenues in all cities within the region. Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan to achieve forecasts. Develop local advertising sales aids and promotional activities. Coordinate with the Corporate office to ensure continuity with system sales and marketing efforts. Hire, train, develop and continually evaluate all sales personnel in the region. Ensure all required reports, rate requests, sales leads and other information are reported to Corporate in a timely manner directly and through Salesforce.com. Keep updated on industry market trends, pricing and competitive intelligence, industry rules and regulations.

Qualifications

College degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years strong management experience. Minimum 5 years cargo sales experience. Excellent verbal/written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Must have strong cargo background with problem solving experience. Must have above average computer skills which includes Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint For internal applicants: Must have above average computer skills which includes Cargotrac and Shares. Have motivating and people skills. Must have good leadership skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the US, South or Central America for any employer without of sponsorship.
