Responsibilities
Responsible for Boeing 757/767 flight controls components to flight control interface. Develop specifications involving design data, technical test equipment modifications, equipment installation. Interface with maintenance on troubleshooting procedures. Review airframe/component manufacturer Service Bulletins to determine if modifications are cost effective, pose no adverse effect on aircraft configuration/component. Coordinate warranty recovery on aircraft, component manufacturers' Service Bulletins. Write engineering docs. for product modifications, airworthiness compliance, repairs/alterations, ensuring compliance w/ FAA Code of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) & that repairs, modifications/alterations do not adversely affect airworthiness, ETOPS (Extended Twin Operation), RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums), CAT III Category III (Instrument Landing Conditions). Provide technical engineering support.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering PLUS 1 year of engineering design experience with flight controls & compliance with FARS.
