November 1997-February 2008: Director - Line Operations-America’s
Panasonic Avionics Corporation-Atlanta

Responsibilities
As Regional Director, I was responsible for the set-up and administration of the “largest” first class cost effective In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) maintenance program in the world! Our goal was always to meet the customer’s expectations, exceeded the required “aviation authorities from nearly every region in the world, and operate within the customers General Maintenance Procedure.

Scope of Work
We were required to meet each arrival flight, debrief the crew, work any log items/deferrals, and perform an IFE system operational test, extent of which was based on ground time, and depart the crew which, in many cases, was training the on-coming cabin crew. We performed these functions on multiple customers at multiple gates while ensuring a 99.8% Dispatch Reliability of the system.
•My region expanded from 1997-2008 65% in line stations, 86% in turns, 77% in personnel, and 88% in cost! This was accomplished by using non-licensed staff supervised by licensed staff thereby improving efficiency. This included personally opening 8-EU cities, NRT, and GIG/GRU.
•Participated in the contract negotiations to ensure that Maintenance can meet the expectations of both the customer and marketing
•Facilitated quarterly reviews with the customers to present statistics representing maintenance performance as well as system performance, In addition, set-up “kiosks” at major hubs to go over the system with cabin crews and record their concerns, which were passed on to review for either correction or installation.
•Facilitated the opening of new airport Line Stations which included, Company Registration and Airport Access Approval, hiring of staff or arranging for “third party support”, acquiring rental of office space, purchasing or leasing of vehicles, arrangement for necessary insurance as required by the local airport administration.
•Coordinate with the local and regional airline management staff regarding process’ and procedures
•Plan and direct maintenance operations needed to produce a cost effective, reliable and on-time maintenance operation, including responsibility for maintaining an extensive spares pool,
•Manage the staffing levels at each existing and new stations as well as training personnel
•Train, mentor and discipline subordinate per company policy, and ensure maintenance meet FAA and company standards.
•The on-going development of policies and procedures that provide guidance to our Line Maintenance Staff in regards to the specific “customer requirements”. Facilitate quarterly reviews to ensure we are meeting our customers’ expectations.
•Responsible for maintaining an extensive spares pool,
•Facilitated one of the first IFE Line Maintenance Approved FAR 145 Repair Stations.

July 1995-November 1997: Manager - Line Station Operations
GEC Marconi In-Flight Systems-Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities
Responsibility for the same duties and responsibilities as I currently have with Panasonic Avionics Systems with oversight of eleven U.S. and four European Line Stations. Unfortunately the company went out of the IFE business.

November 1988-November 1994: Manager – Manager-Heavy Maintenance
Alaska Airlines, Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
Managed a 24/7 C-Check Line on B737’s and MD80 with 124 staff. Was instrumental in creating a Production control department and was able to increase on-time completion from 80% to 96%. Initiated a fly-along program whereas a senior hangar mechanic would fly on-board the aircraft for its first two legs to ensure there were no issues.
